Chaos Dungeon

Chaos Dungeon has a fantasy setting, and takes place during a time where monstrous creatures have poured into the world known as 'Merion' hoping to create chaos throughout the lands of this world. The game sees you fight through hordes of enemies and mini bosses, before confronting a terrifying Wyvern in a final battle.

Chaos Dungeon contains 2 playable characters, with gamemodes for both single player and local co-op; including adaptive voice lines for each gamemode. 5 enemy types including 2 mobs, 2 mini-bosses and 1 boss. The game features a simple story with an intro cinematic followed by environmental storytelling, through the use of character dialogue and level design. The game includes 3 maps, each with its own unique style and atmosphere loosely based on the playable characters.

This game was the final year project for the teams' Bachelor of Animation course - with a roughly 10~ month development cycle start to finish. For this project our production team, Jacob Grant, Kyle Franklin, Alwyn Curnow, Amy Pesendorfer and Ripley Mauafua created a top down hack and slash game, Chaos Dungeon. This project takes inspirations from Diablo III (Blizzard Entertainment), Lost Ark (Smilegate), as well as Dungeons and Dragons (Wizards of the Coast).
